**SPOILERS**

Okay, I am going to be honest and just say that this book, based on it’s description oversold itself. Here I was thinking that I would be reading a sweet May to December romance, when in fact, what I read was porn. Or should I say Hardcore Erotica. No, I’m going back to porn. My description of erotica is that there is an element of romance. While this book was supposed to have that element, it felt forced and in sincere. That said, may the filthy review commence.

I’m sorry, but I have to spoil this one for you. It has to be done other wise I won’t be able to share some of the absolutely ridiculous moments of the story. Let’s start out with Cheryl and her therapist. I’ll by pass the husband, bottom line, he’s a bit a douche bag. He drinks, uses her for sex and therefore she resents him. End of relationship. So back to her Therapist; Rochelle. Yep, Rochelle. I don’t quite get what Rochelle was in the mix of things. Part time therapist, part time friend, part time lover. I was very confused.

She then moved forward and pressed a soft kiss on Rochelle’s mouth

The plot was completely unnecessary to the story. It served no other purpose than to titillate and for me, it didn’t even do that. And the problem wasn’t so much that they were enjoying each other in a sexual way, it was they enjoyed each other in a sexual way to the very end, when it just felt like they shouldn’t be anymore.

And there was Brandon. He was just so fucked up as a character, I couldn’t keep my head straight. He’s a college student, he’s a druggie, he’s a drug dealer, he’s a master manipulator. What the hell is he? Who the hell is he? Why did he go to Rochelle’s house and steal her shit? One thing I do know about Brandon

I worship the vagina, meaning I treat it as if it were the best part of your body, and the most important part of our sex. To me, the orgasm is the single greatest thing between two humans. Specifically, a female orgasm.

And oh man did he. He was doing it every couple of chapters. I don’t think I’ve read so much vagina worship. Now don’t get me wrong, I enjoy reading about a man going down on a woman as much as the next person, but the amount of worshiping that was going on here was a little more than my mind could take.

I’m really glad that this was a short story, if this was a book that covered a series, it might have been better, at least it could have had a little more character development, as it stood. It was short, smutty and utterly filthy

Brandon pulled his cock out suddenly and a burst of cum shot from Cheryl’s pussy. She flexed her stomach muscles as tightly as she could, drenching Rochelle, who eagerly licked up the juice from Cheryl’s thighs

If that’s how you like your books, this is the one for you. And for only 99¢ it might even be a steal. Be warned though, there is so much going on and most of it is happening in the final chapters. But if that’s your speed, go for it I say…

Red & Wolfe: (Erotic Retelling) Part 4 – Ella James

Red & Wolfe Part 4: An Erotic Fairy Tale – [kindle edition] $2.99

Return to Rabbit Island for the heart-pounding conclusion to Red and Wolfe’s story.

Don’t forget your extra panties – but this time, you might also want to bring your gun.

*Contains spoiler-ish type detail*

Okay, first of all, best $3 I’ve spent. I mean it!

Secondly; I love James Wolfe, I wish he was real. I wish I was Red and I was stuck on Rabbit Island, doing what rabbit’s do. This was such a good ending to the series. I was a little nervous about how it was going to end, but I was far from disappointed.

So let’s start here, I am strong advocate of a filthy mouthed alpha male character, James Wolfe aka Race embodies that to the core. Every time he said anything to Red, I was having a panty melting moment. He is up there as my number one (okay top 3) book boyfriends.

She has the nerve to look up at me impertinently, the naughty little cunt.

I know a lot of people aren’t fond of the “C” word, but I personally find it rather fabulous. It just sounds so naughty, taboo almost and every time he thought it or said it I would get so giddy, excited even, because everything about his character is exactly that. James Wolfe is deliciously dark, if we ended up knowing nothing about him, I think that I would have been okay with that. I didn’t need to know everything about him, other than he was hungry and desperate for Red.

You’re asking for a thorough fucking, Red. My cock, your pussy. Now

And speaking of Red, have I told you how much I enjoy her? She’s still spunky as ever in book 4. And while the whole owning her submissiveness was still up in the air for me even through the end, I’m just going to believe that she knew that, that was what Wolfe needed from her. I loved that Red had the spunky confidence to go up against Wolfe (sexually). She always challenged him, which I really liked. She wasn’t about to let someone she cared about so deeply just not take notice

I want you, Race. I have no idea why. Maybe I’m crazy. But when I think of leaving right now, I feel like I’d never stop looking back. So you want to fuck me?” I step toward the bedroom and curl my finger at him. “Come fuck me”.

One of the hardest things I struggle with when I read short stories like these is that, well, they’re short. Especially when you’re bringing together characters that you’re getting in this story. It feels like it’s a hard thing to balance the romance with the heat, but Ella James does a really fine job, in this last book. I worried that there would be heat than affection, but it’s the small moments that she throws in that makes it a really sweet love story of sorts

I reach Gertrude’s office last, and there he is—sitting in her rickety old desk chair, sleeping with my picture in his hand, as if he’s waiting just for me

I loved that there was a HEA, one that was believable too, considering the entire story as a whole. Ella has another fairy re-telling coming out sometime in August (Beast) and I am really looking forward to that.

I definitely recommend this story if you like face paced dirty reads it’s worth every penny in my opinion.

Dair Book 3: The Wild Side Series (Finale) – R.K. Lilley #review #BookReview

DAIR (The Wild Side #3) – [kindle edition] $2.99

ARE YOU READY FOR THE TRUTH?

I’d started writing everything about her down. I didn’t want to forget.
The color of her hair. The depth of her eyes. The stubborn shape of her jaw. The way her lips shaped words with such expression. The way her voice made my chest ache. The way she gave advice beyond her years.
The way she listened like she cared about every word.
The way she made me feel—Alive.
Every curve and hollow of her body was recorded, in my mind, and now my hard drive.
There was a bit of truth in every lie, and even if it had only been fed to me in the smallest increments, I wanted, needed to remember the real Iris.
Because in the end, there was one irrefutable thing that I couldn’t deny.
Hostage or hustler, sinner or saint, whatever she was or wasn’t, whether she lied to my face or taunted me with hints of the truth, all of this seemed always to defer to the more pertinent fact at hand.
She was mine.
Inconceivably.
Undeniably.
Mine.

After yet another shocking discovery, followed by a disturbing letter, Dair is almost certain Iris has left his life for good. He tries his best to move on.
Easier said than done, and when an unexpected and dangerous opportunity arises for him to find out what happened to her, he doesn’t hesitate to take it.
As usual, with Iris, the answer leaves him more lost than the question.
Every revelation is shrouded in mystery, and every disclosure leaves Dair more in the dark than ever.
And when finally, the messy truth is revealed in its entirety, will he be ready for it?

This is the final installment in Iris and Dair’s story
This book is intended for readers 18 and up.

**May contain spoilers**

So here we have it folks, the final installment in The Wild Side series.
While this wasn’t my favorite of the three books, it was a good wrap up to the series. I worry that I had built it up so much in my mind as being fantastical that I think I was a little disappointed with the “why” Iris was doing what she was doing. I won’t give it away, but I’ll say that Turner’s suspicions were far more entertaining than the actual event.
Speaking of Turner, this guy needs his own story. I mean seriously, he is just hilarious.

…you’ve fallen for some wild young thing who was only taking her daddy issues out on your enthusiastic cock

I have another one that I have to share, because this guy just had me ballin’

You lost your belief in romantic love after twenty years in that bitch’s used up snatch

He is so hilariously crass, I just loved him. He was the perfect balance to Dair’s angst… Which was incessant by the way. Honestly it wasn’t his fault though. Iris disappears more than lost fucking socks in your dryer. He was clearly written a man in love, because the incessant “where is she? I love her so fucking much, I can’t move on with my life” was making me a little crazy. I just wanted her to fucking stay! They are so in love, but you have to wonder how in love are they because there she goes… off again.

Anyway, it’s still a great story and the May to December aspect of it, while it was supposed to be significant, didn’t feel important enough to be an integral part of the story. And that may be where I struggled, there were too many issues with Iris. It would have been better if the story could have just focused on one aspect of her, instead of the multiple arcs that she had going on.

I still think everyone should read this series. It’s delightfully filthy and I loved hearing things from the voice of Dair. It’s a nice change to hear things from a man’s perspective. It’s clipped and fast paced, so constantly moves, no time to drag things out. I would probably re-read the entire series again, because really I do like Dair (have I said that already).

One part of me was still in 100%, and that was my traitorous cock

This absolutely has a HEA if you need to know that before picking it up. Actually the entire book is a HEA from a one handed read perspective. Definitely on my recommended read list.

So now that this has ended, I’m ready for R.K Lilley’s next book, part of the Up In the Air Series: Mr. Beautiful.
