Blindfolded Innocence – [kindle edition] currently 99¢

“I’m not sure what you have been told about me, but I’m not nearly as bad as they make me out to be.” His deliciously deep voice carried a little bit of ego.
I’m sure you are exactly as bad as they make you out to be….
Brad De Luca is used to getting whatever and whomever he wants. The premier divorce attorney in town, he’s a playboy who’s bedded half the city–including his own clients. And when the newest intern at his firm poses a challenge, his seductive prowess goes into overdrive.
Pre-law student Julia Campbell is fresh off a failed engagement and happy with her new independence. Even if she weren’t warned away from Brad at every turn, she’d know he was bad news. The last thing she needs is a man who could destroy her job prospects, not to mention her innocence. But before she knows it, the incorrigible charmer has her under his spell. His deviant tastes plunge her deep into a forbidden world of sexual exploration…but her heart may not survive the fall.

Masked Innocence – [kindle edition] currently 99¢

The man was sinful. It wasn’t just the looks that made him dangerous, it was the cocky confidence that dominated every move, every touch. And the frustrating yet ecstatic fact about the whole package was that he could back it all up…
Julia Campbell never knows what to expect with win-at-all-costs Brad De Luca. And she’s starting to like it that way. She gave up safe, conventional relationships when she let the elite divorce attorney seduce her into his world. Now that he’s determined to strip her naked of every inhibition, she’s in danger of falling too deep and too fast.
But their affair begins to feel even more dangerous when a murder leaves a trail of suspicion that points straight to the mob…and Brad. Trusting a man with a bad reputation and a past full of secrets seems like a mistake. But when she’s forced to make a choice, the consequences will take her further than she could ever have imagined.

End of the Innocence – [kindle edition] $3.99

He thought I owned him. He thought he loved me, that I was enough. But this animal, this sex god who could drive me crazy and steal my heart in the same breath, he would never fully be mine. It was impossible. No one ever owned a God…

One year. I have one year to find out more about this man I am marrying. More about his family. More about our sex, and all of the dirty, delicious places it will take me.

I thought I’d spend this year making a decision. I never thought the decision would be taken from me, snatched right from my naive little hands.

**This is a STANDALONE full-length novel. It is not part of a series, and does not contain a cliffhanger.**

It’s been several days since I read this. I’m still reeling from how utterly great it was. Actually it was beyond great. It was outstanding. Alessandra Torre has really outdone herself with this book!

I wish that I could tell you in intricate detail everything that is going on this book, but I don’t want to spoil it, because everyone who reads this should find out on their own, what the hell is going on here. I don’t think that you’ll be disappointed, you may finish the book and say; I need more, or that’s it? It’s over, it can’t be. Because I know I did. I think had Alessandra made this a thousand page epic saga, I would still want more.
One thing that I utterly love about this author is the way that she writes women. Layana was no exception, I didn’t mind half the stuff she was doing because I wanted her to succeed even if it was at the cost of other people. I rooted for her, cheered for her, wanted to see her happy, because she demanded it of herself. None of her actions felt wrong, no matter how ludicrous things were becoming. Characters like that in a genre like this are few and far between, between Torre has an amazing knack of writing them.

The two male leads Brant and Lee are equally mesmerizing, I didn’t know who I liked more. Well, technically that’s not true. Overall I preferred Lee. You start throwing around alpha, dominant, animatistic tendencies and my panties will virtually melt on the spot. There just wasn’t enough of him for me. Not to say that Brant wasn’t great, he was. He was just a little too sweet at times, a little too passive and I struggled to see through all his challenges how he could possibly still want to stay in a relationship where he was so in love but had so many questions about where Layana’s heart was. The fight is there, he’s just constantly teetering on the edge.

Outside of the characters this story is just so well written. Chapters are short, you get perspective from each of the characters and it’s all wrapped up beautifully with wonderfully laid out scenes and great sex. If you’ve been on the fence about reading this book, get off it now! It’s such a great book. This author really does get better and better with each of her stories. I didn’t at any point want to put this book down. The moment it ended, I wanted to pick it up and re-read it all over again. My only disappointment was that it had to end.

The book is currently on sale for $2.99, but it’s going to be going up in price soon. Get it today, because I think that it’s going up to its regular price very soon and even then I would still say get it, because it’s worth ever last cent.

☛ ☛ Black Lies – Alessandra Torre has gone LIVE!!!! ☺. Get it, get it. 👍

I’m reading the ARC that I should have read last week, but didn’t have the time to get around to.  Regardless of that, I’ve been waiting for the fucking Amazon page to refresh so that I can purchase what so far is an outstanding book…. And it has finally gone. Live

Alessandra Torre is a writer who gets in your head (and your heart) and I’m desperate to get through this, because I am so curious as to know what is going to happen to Layana and Brant and the mysterious Lee.

In fact, I’m going off to cook supper and be consumed by all the dirty filthy black lies…. See you later

The Girl in 6E – Alessandra Torre [kindle edition #BookReview #Reivew]

Dexter Morgan meets Chris Hansen

The Girl in 6E – Kindle Edition $3.99

My life, inside this apartment is simple. It works, as long as I follow the rules.

1. Don’t leave the apartment. Not in case of fire, not to mail a letter, not to run an errand. The door stays shut, and I stay inside.
2. Don’t get attached to clients. I take off my clothes, I stand in front of the camera, and I perform. What they want, I give. Their secrets, I keep. Everything I tell them, is a lie.
3. Don’t kill anyone. I’ve obeyed that rule for over three years.

My life, inside this apartment was simple, and it worked. Then, I started breaking rules.
Enter a world of lies, thrills, fears, and all desires, in this original thriller from A. R. Torre.

I remember sometime last year this being a book to read from one of the book groups that I follow. At the time, I had 0 desire to have anything to do with the story. A few months on, and with a great respect for Alessandra Torre, I decided that it was time.

I read this book on the heels of reading Bang. Bang, was a dark, tragic series of events that made me wonder why I was so excited to read it in the first place. I was concerned about moving from one dark story and moving into another. I shouldn’t have been concerned though, I’m familiar enough with Alessandra Torre’s writing style, to know that she can pull a story together, still keeping you wrapt, with her witty banter and fabulous writing style.

“What exactly was your plan? To kill me?”
“You entered my home. I have the right to defend myself.”
“That wasn’t defense. That was fucking psychopath behavior. You were one step behind Hannibal Lecter with that shit.”

Walking into this book, I was a little confused regarding where this story was going to go. I mean simple enough, Jennifer/Deanna is house bound because she chooses to be. She’s protecting people, all of them, against herself. And she does stuff, in front of a camera. The synopsis is vague at best and doesn’t really tell you what is going on. Not in the traditional sense at least.

When you start reading a number of things are happening. Initially it feels as though there are all unrelated, slightly confusing and disjointed, but slowly you start to see what’s happening. You see how the threads are going to be woven together. Each chapter was short and to the point. It just kept moving and you didn’t feel as though too much time was spent over examining or analyzing things. It almost felt like an episode of CSI. Go, go, go!

The only time that I was left a little confused was when Jennifer/Deanna began to relay certain relationships she created with her “clients”. Okay, not all her clients, just one particular client. I’m hoping that in the follow-up (yes, there is another) that we delve a little more into this guy, because I felt like there was more story to tell there. I didn’t see how it fit into the overall story.

Overall I liked the way this book made me feel. I at times chuckled

[I] dump an armful of sugary perfection on the counter, and the dark-skinned man behind it shoots me an odd look. I move to the coolers, grabbing Fanta, Cherry Coke, a Monster Energy drink, and a Dr Pepper. This is easily one of the greatest moments I have had in recent memory

then other times, wanted to reach through the pages and just give Jennifer/Deanna a hug

Others letting you down is ice cream and cookies compared with the rejection of your own soul.

There’s so much more to this story and for me I was left with more questions than answers. I look forward to the follow-up, holding on to the hope that those answers are there.

Pick up The Girl from 6E from Amazon for a measly $3.99
This is the extended version with additional scenes, from the earlier release

P.S – I am in love with that book cover!

Love, Sex, Repeat – Alessandra Torre

Sex Love Repeat

I love two men. I screw two men. I am in a relationship with them both, and they are both aware there is another. That is all they need to know, that is all I let them know. They don’t need to know a name; they don’t need to know anything but that they are not alone in my heart.

They have accepted the situation. Stewart, because his life is too busy for the sort of obligations that are required in a relationship. Paul, because he loves me too much to tell me no. And because my sexual appetite is such that one man has trouble keeping up.

So we exist, two parallel relationships, each running their own course, with no need for intersection or conflict. It works for us, for them, and for me. I don’t expect it to be a long-term situation. I know there is an expiration date on the easy perfection of our lives.

I should have paid more attention, should have looked around and noticed the woman who watched it all. She sat in the background and waited, tried to figure me out. Saw my two relationships, the love between us, and the moment that it all fell apart.

She hates me.
I don’t even know she exists.
She loves them. I love them.
And they love me.

EVERYTHING else hangs in the balance

This will be the second book that I have read by Alessandra Torre and I must tell you, she does not disappoint.  She can weave words together like I imagine Rumpelstiltskin weaved gold.  There is always a lot going on when she writes.  I don’t know how she does it, but holy crap, she did it again.

I had this on my list of must reads and recently bought it because it was on sale (ends today: 4/27 ! for $0.99 at Amazon).  Having read The Innocence Trilogy (have you read that, you really should. It’s fucking amazing).  I already knew what the writing style would be and I knew what to expect in the bedroom (kinda, sorta, if you know what I mean).  I wasn’t disappointed.  Actually as I am writing about this, I’m still reeling from my feelings.  I love that.  I love when a book just effects me.  It makes me not want to pick up another book for just a few minutes while I absorb what happened.

…If you like a good smutty read, I need you to read this book.  I’m not going to spoil it in anyway.  I can’t do it to you, I won’t do it to you.  I have numerous thoughts and feeling rolling around in me and it’s hard to talk about them with just giving away so much story.  I’ll do this though, I’ll through some of my feelings while reading the book.

First and foremost, wow.  I wish I had the energy for that much sex.  I mean seriously.  I do.  I was actually a little tired for Madison.  At times I wanted to make sure that she was rested for the next pounding coming her way, because let me tell you, it wasn’t going to be long until the next one.  I mean I know that this is fiction… but wow.  Just… Just wow.

Then there was the whole;  oh man, where the hell is this going?  How are we going to tie a ribbon on this. For all intense and purposes this is a short read.  I don’t know how were going to get from A and make it all the way to Z, there’s no way!   Oh, wait… there it is.  It kind of smacks you in the face.  I actually had to put my kindle down for a second because the “no fucking way” hit me and I didn’t even see it coming.

Then as we’re making our way through the final act, it has you by the proverbial balls, because there is no way that you’re going to stop, because you just have to know how the fuck it’s going to end.  To know what this all amounts to.   I’m actually sitting here still wondering.

I’ll tell you this though, Alessandra Torre has this amazing ability to make situations that are typically uncomfortable and unconventional, just that.  Like, what would be so terrible about sleeping with two different guys?  What would be so bad about having the kind arrangement that she has going on with these guys.  They both know.  I felt this way when I read The Innocence Trilogy and she has some other books, that I get the feeling will have me equally hooked and equally wondering, so what?  It doesn’t sound like it would be that terrible a predicament to be in.

Now before I leave let’s do a little character run down so you know what you’re getting into.

Madison – carefree, fun.  Completely honest with herself overtly sexual and just an all around good time girl. Seriously, I liked her a lot.  Can we get more of her please?a  I love reading from the eyes of a woman who knows what she’s all about.  she owns it and doesn’t feel like she has to apologize or make excuses for who she is.

Paul – he’s a sweet surfer dude.  I’ve got nothing else.

Stewart – This is all you need to know

…I want it, Madison.  I want him to fuck you in the powder room while I sit here with these stuffed shirts.  I want you to come back to this table with your cheeks flushed and his cum inside of you

Dana – You have to read the book….

and you can get it from Amazon
