99¢ Deals – Deckers Wood & G-Men Holiday Wrap

It’s great when (e)books go on sale. It’s even better when they are 99¢. I’ve not read either of these too, but Decker’s Wood sounds like it would be a quick fun read, so it may just be next on my list.

As for G-Men Holiday Wrap I’ve read all the books in the series and I didn’t even know this one existed, so I am very happy to read more about this crew of characters especially since I felt that some of the characters didn’t get enough development.  My fingers are crossed!

So, the prized package isn’t so failing anymore, the catch is, it will only perform for Andi…My friend WITHOUT benefits.

What will the prince of porn do? The girl or the career?

G-Men Holiday Wrap (G-Man Book 4) – [kindle edition] 99¢
Spend the holidays with the G-Men, their women and extended family as they cruise the Caribbean in first class accommodations compliments of Easton Matthews!

This novella takes place 14 months after the conclusion of “Night Moves.” Darcy was promised a lavish ball to celebrate her elopement with Easton Matthews once she felt up to it. Darcy has decided she would much prefer a 12-day cruise on the Caribbean, with friends and family as their guests. Even the best-laid plans can go awry when you have the G-Men and their women aboard “The Lust Boat!”

This book playfully wraps up the G-Man Series, with the usual unpredictable circumstances, along with misunderstandings, love and lots of humor! You will read chapters from each character’s point of view, and learn a few things about some of the characters you didn’t know.

There will be a surprise visit from someone you would least expect to drop by during this holiday vacay.

Along with that, there are bonus chapters at the end that will satisfy readers of the previous book as to what happened right after that horrific incident in New York City with Sammie and Slate, and Lindsey and Taz. As a reader, you will be a voyeur into their private and intimate moments right after the shooting in Mullaly Park.

As a special bonus, a never seen, never-meant-to-be-seen ‘secret’ chapter from “Love Plus One” will be included for entertainment (and shock) purposes only!

**Spoilers** (I need more) Night Moves – Andrea Smith

NIGHT MOVES  – ANDREA SMITH  – Kindle Edition $2.99

I want you all to read this book and revel in it’s greatness. No seriously, I was skeptical to read this, in fact the picture that is painted of one Easton Matthews is the least interesting of all “G-Men” and then something magical happens. He likes kink. No scratch that, he does kink. He does it for all the wrong reasons, in my opinion. If you’re going to be into kink, then I’m going to need you to own and love it and love doing it, to whoever your doing it to. But Easton, well he’s a little (lottle) fucked up. But it’s okay. He’s so worth it.

There’s a new Alpha in town . . . and he’s a Brit!

Darcy Nicole Sheridan, is 22 years-old, beautiful, single, spirited, sexy and – spoiled. She knows that about herself. Raised by wealthy (and doting) parents as an only child, Darcy pretty much coasts through life until her heart is inexplicably broken by her G-Man, Darin. Darcy doesn’t handle rejection well; she isn’t used to it.

To ease the pain, Darcy flies to Belize over the Christmas holiday fully intending to wallow in self-pity and distance herself from D.C. and the pain that originated there. Her pity party is short-lived however, after observing a very handsome, very intriguing man on the beach with a beautiful blonde. The blond gets ditched and it’s Darcy that becomes the focus of the smokin’ hot, wealthy and somewhat mysterious ‘E.J.’

Some very interesting things happen in Belize, but it doesn’t end there. Once back in D.C., there are even more surprises in store for Darcy, including a new male roommate, her best friend Lindsey’s wedding, and a surprise encounter with “E.J.” that leaves Darcy confused in more ways than one! Shortly thereafter, surprising changes are in store for Darcy’s career, love life and even a repentant Darin shows up in the mix.

Readers will get a bonus glimpse of Taz and Lindsey’s HEA and perhaps even see some loose ends tied up with respect to the Rat Bastard!

As always, this latest release of the “G-Man Series” will keep you on the edge of your seat through the laughter, tears, angst, drama and mystery. Easton is sure to be a favorite ‘G-Man’ of many in this newest release of the series! He’s an alpha like no other . . .

**Possible SPOILERS**

It was as though one of the worse possible things that could happen to a kid, happens to Easton.  You really want to slap his mum, you really want to kill the nanny and you then really want to give him a hug.  I completely didn’t care that he was using Darcy in part to avenge a previous relationship.  He was broken.  It wasn’t his fault.

Okay, so maybe I am wearing some seriously rose colored glasses when it comes to Easton.  But, I’ll tell you why.  This character, this man, completely and totally appeals to me.  He is dismissive, arrogant, controlling, obsessive and driven, but most of all, when he loves.  He loves HARD!  I love that in a character.   I could emerse myself in all that is Easton all day long.  I just want to add that him being British had nothing to do with it for me.  In fact I could do less of the “Love”.  It aged his character just a little bit.  But, he’s gone, now what am I to do?  I already miss his Prince Albert!!  I know that there was another mini story to I guess round out this series, but if I remember correctly Easton was barely a blip in the story.  Darcey had more of an appearance, so I won’t be going back to that to get an additional hit.  Oh well, I shall miss you dear Easton.

Speaking of Darcey, thank fuck for her right!  After navigating through Sammie and Lindsey, Darcey was like a breath of fresh air.  Before I started reading the book,  I had serious reservations of how Darcey would develop as a character.  I should have known the moment the story started that she was going to be a no nonsense, grab life by the balls type.  At every hurdle, she delivers.  She doesn’t apologise for what she likes or for the decisions she makes, she just makes them and thats the great thing to see in a character.

Her pairing with Easton is quite wonderful and it has just the type of HEA that leaves you wanting more.  Did I mention that I want more?

Diamond Girl (aka Samantha, Sammie, Sunny, Diamond?!?) – Andrea Smith

Diamond Girl (G-Man Series) – Andrea Smith

Book #1 – G-Man Series
This “Limited” edition contains bonus chapters and sneak peaks at the end for a limited time only!
What happens when a 35 year-old soccer mom from Indianapolis, Indiana sends her only child off to college and suddenly discovers that she has no identify of her own?

That’s exactly what happened to Samantha (Sammie) Dennison. Her marriage was loveless from the start; her ‘mannequin’ husband has his own agenda which has never included her, and she feels lonely, ignored and downright frumpy.

Her best friend tells her to get a life, and that’s exactly what Sammie does, starting with a Kickboxing/Pilates class to get into shape, and then continuing her regiment by signing up for pole-dance lessons. Sammie graduates at the top of her class, and ultimately ends up with a secret career as a pole dancer at a Gentleman’s Club in Indy called ‘Jewels.’

Known only by her dancer name, “Diamond,” she is well on her way to finally carving out a secret life and identity all of her own that brings excitement and mystery to her otherwise mundane existence. The thrill of the dance and sexuality she discovers within herself is a potent mixture, but it’s all about the dance with Sammie.

That is, until bad-boy biker Slate enters the picture. He is the ultimate ‘alpha’ male and quickly draws the attention of the dancers – including Sammie. Slate is a ‘prospect’ for the notorious Outlaw Motorcycle Club, but he is also inexplicably drawn to “Diamond.” Sammie is totally out of her league with Slate and the dangerous people he associates with in Indianapolis during the summer of 2012.

No spoilers here, but something BIG is brewing in Indy; and it ain’t about race cars either.

‘Diamond Girl’ will keep the reader on the edge of their seat from beginning to end; this book has it all: passion, erotica, romance, danger and possibly more . . . much more.

Note: This book is based loosely on actual events that occurred in Indianapolis, Indiana in the summer of 2012 involving certain members of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club after a two-year investigation conducted by various federal agencies. The names have been changed to protect the parties. Other events depicted in this book are purely fictional for entertainment purposes.
This book is intended for adult audiences. Mature Content.

I’m currently in the midst of Love Plus One. I actually bought the series, because I liked the sound of Love Plus One, and being a person who requires elements of order when I read, I thought I should pick this up first. I’m rather glad that I did.

Diamond Girl, tells the story of Samantha, Sammy, Sunny or Diamond, readers choice. No, Seriously!? I was like what the fuck? Her horrible marriage and the man she comes to love. All the while stripping it away at some joint called Jewel and getting accidentally wrapped up in her husbands world as he plots to become the next, not so cool Scarface.

I honestly didn’t think that I was going to like this book. The writing style is not my cup of tea to say the least. In fact, it was so quickly written and so many arcs happening that I had to wonder if Andrea Smith took a breath while she wrote the story. This is my ONLY complaint. But for me it’s pretty significant. Not enough that it stopped me from putting the book down and deleting from both my mind and from my Kindle, but enough that I just felt like I was being thrown up on. You know that all at once feeling. This would have been a great story to plot out amongst 2 books. I would actually have liked more interaction between Diamond and Slate and then later on Sammie and Slate. I felt like we were being given two separate lives so to have that played out a little more would have been great.

I rated this 5/5 over on goodreads, because forgiving some of it’s quick sex scenes and the dialogue that seemed contradictory of the characters, I just liked it. I really do. There’s something about it, that I thought, huh!? This ain’t half bad, certainly no worse than some of the things that I’ve read in the past.
