Making Over Maris: 3 (Wired) – [kindle edition] $5.78

Wired Series, Book Three

When über-nerd Jack asks Sara to make him more attractive to women, she
can’t say no–even though it’s an impossible task. He’s shaggy and doughy
and hopelessly inappropriate. He has no style or emotional intelligence
but he’s a good person. And a great friend. What Sara never expects?
Beneath all that fur and geekiness is a steamy hunk just waiting to
emerge.

Jack takes Sara’s regimen very seriously, working out and losing weight
until he feels like a new

man. He even complies with her command to shave his beard–because Jack
didn’t ask Sara to make him over so he would be attractive to other women.
He only wants to be attractive to her. They go on a series of fake dates,
each hotter and more sinful than the last. It’s not long before Sara
discovers Jack’s secret desire to be dominated and what began as an
arrangement becomes something amazing–something that could be real.

Inside Scoop: Our hero appreciates Femdom–with the right woman. Our hero
doesn’t appreciate perfect strangers grabbing his junk. Ask nicely first,
ladies!

This book was simply marvelous. I loved it from the first line to the last. I wish I could give it 10 stars, because I don’t think that I’ve enjoyed a book this much in quite a while. The story is funny and the dialogue between all of the characters is marvelous.

Oh boy! Oh, boy, oh boy, oh boy. I’d been holding on to this book on my Wish List on Amazon for quite sometime. I had a few hesitations about picking it up because of the price tag; $5.78 for a 200 page book. But, there was is a book challenge at stake, and I jumped at the chance to get it. Price tag be damned! I shouldn’t have held back. I should have gotten the book the first that I came across it, because this my friends is a marvelous story of a Geek and the love of his life. I don’t want to spoil this story for anyone because I think that everyone should read this story. If I could lend it to everyone I would. If I could have strategically highlighted every line on every page. I would. It’s that good. It’s page after page of entertaining humorous, affectionate, comical, love and romance.

I loved it from the first line to the last. The characters are absolutely hilarious. Sara who is coming off a bad “break-up” isn’t so jaded that she comes across as bitter, angry or insecure. She’s got gumption! She knows what she wants and she knows how to go about getting it.

If a guy was drop-dead gorgeous but didn’t have a romantic side, he was only good for a fuck

Generally in my reading I’m not drawn to FemDom, so I’ll be honest when I tell you that I didn’t even realize that she was a Domme until the words began to appear in the book. I guess I completely missed that part when I was reading the synopsis! It didn’t change anything for me. In fact, it was perfect. The way that she exudes her power over Jack. WOW! I could have read a lot more of that. Seriously, way, way more.

And Jack, dear sweet loveable Jack

“What the hell is that?” She gaped at the rumpled, well-worn paper.
“It’s my flowchart.”

Jack is quite easily one of my favorite book boyfriends. The only thing going against him for me and I must remember that he is not real, was that he was submissive. Had he been a Dom, I think I would have been even more immersed in the story, forever lost in a fictitious man. He’s adorable, beyond adorable. What’s beyond adorable? I don’t even know I don’t have the words, but whatever that word is, he is that.
It wasn’t even ridiculous for me to read this…

He came. Exploded. Erupted. Bliss cascaded as jet after jet of burning cum flooded from him. And all the while, she whipped his cock. Whipped it into a frenzy. It was fucking sublime.

…as I usually find it to be, because I could just imagine it. Jet after jet, sure! Why not?! Is there more? I’d welcome that too. Seriously, I’ve not ever been so enamored or engrossed. It could be that he was so oblivious to ever hint or clue that Sara threw his way. Or that it was almost like reading about a real guy (in many ways, dare I say, a little like my husband, GASP!). He was sublime and he made me want more. I need more. I know that there won’t be more, but one can always hope.

Jack and Sara’s is a story that I could read over and over again and probably enjoy it the more times that I read it. The story is simple the plot equally so and its simplicity is what makes it so enjoyable. There’s nothing overly complex happening here. They just each want what they want and you get to enjoy the ride as they get there. If you’re not rooting for these two page after page, I’m sorry there is something wrong with you.

Simply put, I would highly, highly and did I say highly recommend this book. It most definitely is a book that I would read again and again. This is, without a doubt a must read!

The book is the third in a three part series, but can be read as a standalone. I’m actually pretty glad it is part of a set, the other characters were just as entertaining as Sara and Jack. While I may not get to them immediately, they are on my Wish List and I can’t wait to squeeze in sometime to get around to them. Whenever that maybe.

Oh and my absolute final word on this book;  that book cover!  That book cover is what started it all.  Anyone know who the model is?
