Okay, first of all, best $3 I’ve spent. I mean it!

Secondly; I love James Wolfe, I wish he was real. I wish I was Red and I was stuck on Rabbit Island, doing what rabbit’s do. This was such a good ending to the series. I was a little nervous about how it was going to end, but I was far from disappointed.

So let’s start here, I am strong advocate of a filthy mouthed alpha male character, James Wolfe aka Race embodies that to the core. Every time he said anything to Red, I was having a panty melting moment. He is up there as my number one (okay top 3) book boyfriends.

She has the nerve to look up at me impertinently, the naughty little cunt.

I know a lot of people aren’t fond of the “C” word, but I personally find it rather fabulous. It just sounds so naughty, taboo almost and every time he thought it or said it I would get so giddy, excited even, because everything about his character is exactly that. James Wolfe is deliciously dark, if we ended up knowing nothing about him, I think that I would have been okay with that. I didn’t need to know everything about him, other than he was hungry and desperate for Red.

You’re asking for a thorough fucking, Red. My cock, your pussy. Now

And speaking of Red, have I told you how much I enjoy her? She’s still spunky as ever in book 4. And while the whole owning her submissiveness was still up in the air for me even through the end, I’m just going to believe that she knew that, that was what Wolfe needed from her. I loved that Red had the spunky confidence to go up against Wolfe (sexually). She always challenged him, which I really liked. She wasn’t about to let someone she cared about so deeply just not take notice

I want you, Race. I have no idea why. Maybe I’m crazy. But when I think of leaving right now, I feel like I’d never stop looking back. So you want to fuck me?” I step toward the bedroom and curl my finger at him. “Come fuck me”.

One of the hardest things I struggle with when I read short stories like these is that, well, they’re short. Especially when you’re bringing together characters that you’re getting in this story. It feels like it’s a hard thing to balance the romance with the heat, but Ella James does a really fine job, in this last book. I worried that there would be heat than affection, but it’s the small moments that she throws in that makes it a really sweet love story of sorts

I reach Gertrude’s office last, and there he is—sitting in her rickety old desk chair, sleeping with my picture in his hand, as if he’s waiting just for me

I loved that there was a HEA, one that was believable too, considering the entire story as a whole. Ella has another fairy re-telling coming out sometime in August (Beast) and I am really looking forward to that.

I definitely recommend this story if you like face paced dirty reads it’s worth every penny in my opinion.

Red & Wolfe III: An Erotic Fairy Tale – Ella James

Fuck me there just isn’t enough of this story! Come on Ella, I need more Wolfe.

The third installment, which I guess at one point was going to be the end **SPOILER** it’s NOT. Was another lust fueled sexual adventure between two people who clearly have no idea how fucking perfect they are for each other.

“That’s why you’re here, remember? That’s why I invited you to stay—so you could be my little fuck doll. Take my dick deep in your throat, then let me eat that sweet pussy.

I don’t even know what I can possibly say to this other than oh my motherfucking, fuck nuggets. If you’ve ever wondered what some of us like to read in our raunchy reads, the entwining of those sweet words above embodies it all. I want “W” to do every one of those things to Red. Many times over. Actually, can he do those things to me? oh and this too

“I’m your new God, Red. Now I want you to close your eyes and let your pussy worship me.”

I love Wolfe’s arrogance. I love how he controls Red and I love that Red submits first and thinks later.

If he’s a killer, he’s still hot as hell.

Wolfe does it at times too, taking from Red so unforgivably and when a normal reaction should be, oh shit that was cold. He comes back from it so swiftly that you really just want to reach out, give the man a pat on the back and say “it’s okay, you made a mistake, now just go fix it”.

I really want these two to be together, like really bad! After that ending, I just don’t know where we are going, I even can’t even fathom a guess. All I can hope for is a Happy Ever After. Sweet mother of pearl, please let there be a Happy Ever After.

Big Bad Wolfe (Red & Wolfe – Ella James)

22035268When Sarah “Red” Ryder loses her job as an art critic for a Boston newspaper, she’s brokenhearted. Worse than that? She’s broke. Her boyfriend recently left her – for a tatted-up hottie with a dick – so she’s stuck paying her hefty apartment rent alone. After two months unemployed, there’s no money left. With no immediate family to turn to, Red reaches out to her estranged grandmother, a reclusive writer living on an island off the coast of Charleston. Several days later, Red receives $30,000 and an invitation to visit.

James Wolfe is not Red’s grandmother. But he beckons her. Red has the ability to give him something he needs. He won’t take “no” for an answer, and he doesn’t mind screwing her over. He lost his conscience six years ago, when he was tried for the murder of his wife. Since then, life is about him – and the paintings he does under the mysterious pseudonym “W.”

Wolfe needs the island to keep painting. To live his life away from prying eyes. To keep up the anonymity of “W.”

Once he sees Red, he finds that he needs her, too. And Wolfe will have her. Any way he can.

**The story of Red & Wolfe will be told in three novellas. The next one releases May 21

This was my first foray into a novel by Ella James, though I believe that I have a couple of her books on my virtual bookshelf.  This book come from the BEND box set that has since been removed from Amazon, why I don’t understand, and there has been mentioned that it might even be pulled from the likes of NOOK and the Apple Store (actually, I think it has been pulled from Apple).

This was a great short, and I mean great.  There is a nice steady build up and when the two characters finally interact, you can feel the sizzle between them.  It ended far too soon for me and I am eagerly awaiting May 21st, when part 2 is released.  I’ve already pre-ordered mine and I highly recommend that you order yours too.

I’m not quite sure how the story is going to fit into two books since there seems to be so much more story to tell.  It didn’t feel overwhelming however, only intriguing.  I only hope that there is an ability to wrap up all the threads that have been created.

When the next book comes out, I’ll give a more rounded review, because I don’t feel as though I can properly comment on a story that truly I am half way reading.

…oh and is it just me, or does the girl on the cover look remarkably like Mila Kunis?
