An Arrangement of Love (Interracial Erotic Romance) – [kindle edition] 99¢ or FREE through Kindle Unlimited

He kissed me. And not just any kiss. He kissed me like he owned me, as if he bought me last night and my orgasm was the payment. His tongue didn’t explore my mouth instead it taunted me, gliding in and out between my lips in a rhythm that reminded me of hot sex. He shifted his hand to the back of my head and trapped me to him. My bag and its contents dropped to the floor. . .

What would you do for six figures?

Billionaire Chase Stone offers Jasmine a six-figure job that requires a full-time commitment in his office as well as his bed. If only she knew that before she agreed, then life would’ve been easier. It’s not that he’s unattractive. Jasmine just didn’t graduate from Harvard with honors so she could be some rich guy’s over paid mistress. What’s even more repulsing is that he lives with three women and wants her to be the fourth.

Not going to happen!

But Chase won’t give up, and Jasmine won’t give in. Someone’s going to have to change because the more they meet, the more something thick, hot, and electric bridges between them, until neither can breathe or think.

A solid 3.5 Stars

I picked up this book forever ago because I knew it would come in handy if ever I had a reading challenge; billionaire, interracial romance, payment for services… I now wish that I had read it a lot earlier, because it was really good and now I want to know what’s going to happen… because as you guessed it, there is a book that follows this one.

Of course it’s not perfect there are some annoying traits from both characters. Well maybe not so much Jasmine. I enjoyed the fact that the story was told strictly from her side. She’s very entertaining and her character is written very naturally. I like that she has a no nonsense attitude and that she challenges her unusual situation rather than going with the follow. This just isn’t that type of book. The situation at best is really odd and this is where I have the most problem with Chase.

In general, I just don’t find his character appealing. He hovers between sweet and cuddly, but portrayed as a dominant man over his “harem”. He doesn’t ever consistently seem to be one over the other. So where I think I’m supposed to embrace him as this amazingly sexy alpha male. He comes across as his sloppy, skeezy, wet hug of a man. I’m just so confused by him. He just doesn’t have book boyfriend written all over him and this is why I can’t give this book anything but a solid 3.5.

The story is great, it’s wild and crazy and holy shit, what is going on with that ending? I couldn’t put it down. Not because of the romance factor, but because of the, jeez oh Pete drama. This book is what soap opera are made out of, a series of unbelievable events spiraling out of control, some “romance” and (semi) steamy sex and you’ve got yourself a story.

Unfortunately I’ve got some other pressing books ahead of the next one in this series, but I have decided to bump it up. Because mercy sakes, I just have to know what in the hell is in the store for Jasmine and Chase. I’m hoping that there are some twists and turns to wrap up some fuck up story lines from this book.

This is most certainly a book I would recommend to my friends and fellow readers. In fact, I’ve already had one friend pick this up and she’s as sucked in as I am.

This is definitely worth the 99¢ price tag. Well written, a rollercoaster of a ride and some pretty good sex scenes, though I find them to be a little lacking, in the quantity department only. It advertises itself as erotica. A small smattering of scenes, does not an erotica make, in my opinion. Other than that. A good unexpected read that I all hope you find the time to read one day.

I’m sure you are exactly as bad as they make you out to be….
Brad De Luca is used to getting whatever and whomever he wants. The premier divorce attorney in town, he’s a playboy who’s bedded half the city–including his own clients. And when the newest intern at his firm poses a challenge, his seductive prowess goes into overdrive.
Pre-law student Julia Campbell is fresh off a failed engagement and happy with her new independence. Even if she weren’t warned away from Brad at every turn, she’d know he was bad news. The last thing she needs is a man who could destroy her job prospects, not to mention her innocence. But before she knows it, the incorrigible charmer has her under his spell. His deviant tastes plunge her deep into a forbidden world of sexual exploration…but her heart may not survive the fall.

Masked Innocence – [kindle edition] currently 99¢

The man was sinful. It wasn’t just the looks that made him dangerous, it was the cocky confidence that dominated every move, every touch. And the frustrating yet ecstatic fact about the whole package was that he could back it all up…
Julia Campbell never knows what to expect with win-at-all-costs Brad De Luca. And she’s starting to like it that way. She gave up safe, conventional relationships when she let the elite divorce attorney seduce her into his world. Now that he’s determined to strip her naked of every inhibition, she’s in danger of falling too deep and too fast.
But their affair begins to feel even more dangerous when a murder leaves a trail of suspicion that points straight to the mob…and Brad. Trusting a man with a bad reputation and a past full of secrets seems like a mistake. But when she’s forced to make a choice, the consequences will take her further than she could ever have imagined.

End of the Innocence – [kindle edition] $3.99

In all seriousness, this is an adult book that deals with a variety of intense and mature topics. It’s also a novella. If you dislike reading stories in installments, or are a prude, a whiner, or other unsavory sort of character, this may not be a good read for you.

THIS IS A SERIAL NOVELLA
THAT MEANS ALL ENDINGS ARE CLIFFHANGERS
THIS NOVELLA IS ABOUT 150 PAGES LONG
THIS IS PART ONE OF SIX
BOOKS ARE RELEASED EVERY TWO WEEKS

Woah! Why haven’t I read anything by J.A Huss before? I’m not including the book in Bend, because I don’t remember that story. Maybe I should not admit that, but fact of the matter is, I don’t. This though, is going to stick with me. I’m not even sure I want to review this yet, but 6 novella’s will be a little juggling on my part so let’s see what I can tell you about this book without really telling you anything at all.
Before the book even started the premise had my attention. I should have known that there was going to be elements of BDSM just from the first few lines. Contracts, submission, but somehow I was still surprised. In the best possible way of course.

Then there was the whole Twitter aspect. I’ve been consumed with twitter these past few weeks so the fact that there is an entire story with twitter as a component of the story, really drew me in even more. And who doesn’t want to have a steamy encounter with the celebrity of their dreams. I have a short list of actors that I would love to have the very encounter Grace Kinsella has with Vaughn Asher.

What makes this book fun is that Grace wants nothing more than to have Vaughn, but not so much that she just throws herself at him, be damned the consequences. She challenges him and questions him at every turn. Not at the cost of turning him away, but drawing him even more, which is what I think draws in the reader.

Vaughn, a man who knows what he wants doesn’t really seem to know what he wants when it comes to Grace. Tiny little things that happen throughout, make me wonder where his feelings lie and I guess that’s the point. How does he really feel about her? Will he ever get what he wants from her and will Grace allow it. My hope is that they both do. I’m already anxious for book two and I can’t believe that this story is going to span 6 novellas. That is a lot of story to tell and it really peaks my interest as to where these two are headed. And if book one is anything to go by, it’s somewhere great.

☞☞☞☞ Reasonable Doubt 3 – Whitney G. / Whitney Garcia Williams ★★★★★ #BookReview #Review #Series ☜☜☜☜

Reasonable Doubt 3 – [kindle edition] $2.99

I hate him…

I hate that I fell in love with him, I hate that he didn’t love me back, and I hate the fact that I just made a life-altering decision just so I could get the hell away from him.

He’d always said that he was unchangeable, heartless, and cold…

I really should’ve believed him…

I loved this series, from the very start through to the end, I just loved it. I’m so glad that the author went longer with the finale. It needed it. There seemed to be so much going on in the two other books that the thought of a short finish wouldn’t have done it just. What we got, was pretty near perfect.

Aubrey and Andrews romance has been unconventional to say the least. They met through a lawyer chat forum. She ends up working at the lawyer firm, and then madness follows. It’s that good madness though, the kind where you sit back watch it all play out and hope that the players find their way to each other. It’s not always easy, of course, there are bumps ahead, misunderstanding, mis-communication, good intentions with the worse possible results, but ultimately it all works out.

No matter how horrible Andrew was, no matter how sharp his tongue, I wanted him to get what he wanted. He was so enjoyable. He had no boundaries no matter how many Aubrey created and it was great watching him trying to rip through them as he worked tirelessly to get what he wanted. I love that he was unapologetic and romantic in the same breath. So what, that his brand of romance wasn’t the traditional sense. But he was still a romantic.

He and Aubrey were written so perfectly for each other. I loved that she never took his shit and called him on it when appropriate. It was great to see her move on when time called for it, that she was still driven to be her own person, even when her romantic life was falling apart around her.
The story wraps up a lot of points that it established across the three books. We learn how Andrew became the man that he is and I’m glad that time was spent on that, though honestly I was happy to think that it was just a natural part of his personality.

This series definitely makes me interested in reading more of Whitney G’s books if this is any indication of what her writing is like. She has a great way of evoking emotions through her characters. I could feel each of their pain, was consumed in the love that these two characters had for each other. I would put this on my re-read list and I highly recommend it.

☞☞☞☞On the Record (The Record Series) – K.A. Linde ★★★☆☆ #bookreview #review #series ☜☜☜☜

On the Record (The Record Series Book 2) – [kindle edition] $3.99

For political reporter Liz Dougherty, election day—a day of looking toward the future and saying goodbye to the past—seems like a fitting time to start a new relationship. But feelings for her former flame still linger…

The sexy second book in USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde’s Record series decides whether it’s better to pick up the pieces and move on…or to pick up right where you left off.

Okay so, maybe I missed something here, but I just wasn’t feeling this book. It was just way too much Liz just rehashing the same feelings over and over again telling us the same thing repeatedly. She’s really not even that interesting of a character for me. What made her interesting were the people around her, so the fact that we spend almost the entire book as she is wading through what has to be one of the most boring relationships in history, it makes me wonder what the fuck was the point of this book.

A man that she supposedly cares about so greatly is missing until the very end of the book. Every now and again, and I am not joking when I say it was now and again, he pops up as a teaser and it was the only thing that kept me going. I really just wanted to skip to the end of the story, or at least the parts where Brady pops in, because really that was what I was there for.

Brady Maxwell, sexy politician with a filthy mouth was so underutilized in this story. Had there been more of him, it would have made this a 5 star read. Instead it gets a weak 3 and all of those stars belong to Brady, because he’s worth every one of them. I don’t want to beat this book down too much. I guess there was a point to it. And there are a lot of people who liked it. I just didn’t (all that much).

Hopefully the third book won’t be a Liz fest, because if it is, I will be sorely disappointed. This is supposed to be Liz and Brady’s story. Fingers crossed that’s what the final installment will be.

Black Lies – [kindle edition] $2.99 (will be going up to $3.99 very soon)

Brant:
Became a tech billionaire by his twentieth birthday. Has been in a relationship with me for 3 years. Has proposed 4 times. Been rejected 4 times.

Lee:
Cuts grass when he’s not banging housewives. Good with his hands, his mouth, and his body. Has been pursued relentlessly by me for almost 2 years, whether he knows it or not.

Go ahead. Judge me. You have no idea what my love entails.

If you think you’ve heard this story before, trust me – you haven’t.

**This is a STANDALONE full-length novel. It is not part of a series, and does not contain a cliffhanger.**

It’s been several days since I read this. I’m still reeling from how utterly great it was. Actually it was beyond great. It was outstanding. Alessandra Torre has really outdone herself with this book!

I wish that I could tell you in intricate detail everything that is going on this book, but I don’t want to spoil it, because everyone who reads this should find out on their own, what the hell is going on here. I don’t think that you’ll be disappointed, you may finish the book and say; I need more, or that’s it? It’s over, it can’t be. Because I know I did. I think had Alessandra made this a thousand page epic saga, I would still want more.
One thing that I utterly love about this author is the way that she writes women. Layana was no exception, I didn’t mind half the stuff she was doing because I wanted her to succeed even if it was at the cost of other people. I rooted for her, cheered for her, wanted to see her happy, because she demanded it of herself. None of her actions felt wrong, no matter how ludicrous things were becoming. Characters like that in a genre like this are few and far between, between Torre has an amazing knack of writing them.

The two male leads Brant and Lee are equally mesmerizing, I didn’t know who I liked more. Well, technically that’s not true. Overall I preferred Lee. You start throwing around alpha, dominant, animatistic tendencies and my panties will virtually melt on the spot. There just wasn’t enough of him for me. Not to say that Brant wasn’t great, he was. He was just a little too sweet at times, a little too passive and I struggled to see through all his challenges how he could possibly still want to stay in a relationship where he was so in love but had so many questions about where Layana’s heart was. The fight is there, he’s just constantly teetering on the edge.

Outside of the characters this story is just so well written. Chapters are short, you get perspective from each of the characters and it’s all wrapped up beautifully with wonderfully laid out scenes and great sex. If you’ve been on the fence about reading this book, get off it now! It’s such a great book. This author really does get better and better with each of her stories. I didn’t at any point want to put this book down. The moment it ended, I wanted to pick it up and re-read it all over again. My only disappointment was that it had to end.

The book is currently on sale for $2.99, but it’s going to be going up in price soon. Get it today, because I think that it’s going up to its regular price very soon and even then I would still say get it, because it’s worth ever last cent.

Possessed by You & Perfected by You (Torn Trilogy Books 2 & 3) – J.M. Walker ★☆☆☆☆ #BookReview #Review

Revealed by You (Torn Trilogy Book 2) – [kindle edition] $2.99

The sharp edge of love…

Brett MacLean was possessive. Even more since I became his. He was my desire…my ultimate pleasure…he was mine.

As each day passed, he revealed a part of himself that had lain dormant. A broken childhood. A troubled man. One I was determined to help.

After months together, I thought I knew him. But soon realized I was wrong. His dark secrets were only the beginning. The past was more disturbing than I ever could have fathomed.

His deep seeded need for me came with a price that could have consequences. I needed him just as much. Because of this, we would be tested. My greatest fear was that it would take us beyond the limits of our love.

Perfected by You (Torn Trilogy Book 3) – [kindle edition] .99¢

An all-consuming need…
Evvie Neal was my addiction. The love I felt for her controlled me and it brought me to my knees. She was my one. My only.
Destroyed as a boy, healed as a man, she was my saving grace. The first person who knew the real me. Because of her, I became stronger. Whole. A true warrior in my own personal Hell.
As time went on, demons from my past haunted me, threatening to ruin what I had worked so hard to become. Strong.
The ultimate sacrifice was giving up a piece of myself to be perfect. For her.

I wavered so much between hating the books and tolerating the books. I ended up just hating them. Hating them because they were stupid, not romantic and mainly they were repetitious over sexed dull reads. So why did I bother reading out the series? My rational was this; a lot and I mean a lot of people were giving it high a rating. I thought that maybe at the very end it would redeem itself. It never did. It just got progressively more stupid. Of course I could be in the minority here. I should be kind and just say it wasn’t my cup of tea. But honestly I think it’s more than that; you either loved this series or you loathed it and I loathed it.

So why? Because Brett called Evvie “Lover” and it never came across as endearing. Instead it grated on my last nerve. She wasn’t lover she was “Luvah” it sounded horrible, from the moment that it started through all of the books. If that wasn’t bad enough he was always smug or smirking and very rarely anything in between. I think that I actually hate those words now. Each time I see them in another book, I cringe a little taken back to Torn.

Overall Brett just wasn’t the sweet alpha male that needed Evvie… What he needed was a Valium and some serious counseling. I found it hard to believe that his method self-control was to always be “in” Evvie. It was sick, it wasn’t sweet. He used her and not in the Dominant/submissive way. He just took whatever he needed from her. Had the relationship not developed beyond the physical I think this would have been a lot better. It was force feed down our throats that these two loved one another, but I just didn’t see it.

…and I can’t even get into Evvie, because she just really pissed me off. She represented everything that I cannot stand in my female heroes. She had no respect for herself and she often came across as week, even when she was (trying to be) strong. Her tone was whiny and nothing about her made me root for her one bit. I couldn’t have cared less about her.

It’s such a shame too, because I originally went into the books thinking that I would love them. I walked away feeling like no amount of scrubbing would remove the crap that I had poured over for days. I am so disappointed with this series, just so disappointed. I even waited a little while to post a review because I was hoping that I would feel differently about the books. Since my reading of them, I’ve read a couple of outstanding books and I think that I am more pissed off now because I waited this long to get through that shit, to get to the great reads waiting for me on the other side. Maybe the only redeeming thing about reading these books, was it made me appreciate the excellent books that I have read since. I guess I can be thankful for that. But that’s about all I am thankful for.

I can’t in good faith recommend these books. Stay away, as far as I’m concerned. If you’re tempted to read them, please don’t blame me if you end up hating them. On the other hand if you end up enjoying them, I’m genuinely happy for you. Really I am.
